1. Allow users to transact without Signing Up

Making your transaction process as simple as possible will be one of the greatest & fruitful things you’ll ever do for your business. It’s nice to get registrations & email addresses…..but wouldn’t you rather get a sale & that ongoing relationship with the customer? After all your customers are at your site to shop for something.

Wordpress LogoUpgrading Wordpress can be a major pain (if you don’t know what you’re doing). For example, lets say that you know nothing about the UNIX command line.

The typical update path would either use the built in wordpress upgrade function (which doesn’t work for all server setups) or something like:

  1. Visit wordpress.org
  2. Download the latest zip file to your pc
  3. Unzip the latest file
  4. Fire up your FTP program
  5. Connect to your server
  6. Navigate to your blog folder
  7. Upload the new Wordpress files
  8. Wait 5+ Minutes for the files to upload one by one
  9. Visit the upgrade page on your Wordpress Blog
  10. Finished!

Start Bittorrent Downloads from Work

Some Bittorrent clients (uTorrent on PC & Transmission on Mac) allow automatic starting of .torrent files that have been added to a specific folder. Essentially this means you can make that folder a folder on your Dropbox (see below), in my case it’s D:\My Dropbox\Torrents
